Résumé : After a brief introduction to the spectral theory of hyperbolic surfaces, we will focus on the problem of understanding the asymptotic distribution of resonances for hyperbolic surfaces. The theory of open quantum chaotic systems has inspired several interesting conjectures about this distribution. We will highlight the recent theoretical progress towards these conjectures, and present some of the latest numerical evidence.Codes MSC :
